It doesn’t get much better than a beautiful spring day with it’s clear sky and perfectly warm weather. On days like this I love taking our clients outdoors for a park workout, plus the change of scenery can be an instant mood booster!

A huge plus to exercising outdoors is that it offers a new set of obstacles that can challenge your body in different ways. For instance, imagine doing walking lunges along the uneven surface of grass, or attempting to balance on a sloping sidewalk. These types of exercises challenge your proprioceptors, or your perception of movement and spatial orientation, which is really important for overall fitness.

Having a friend do your outdoor workout with you (or any workout- for that matter) can be an added bonus, and it keeps you both accountable!

So, grab your buddy and let's go!
